The main mission of Internships Asia is to develop the capacities of community development organizations around the region.  We do this by providing internships for the staff of organizations to gain the experience they need to be more successful in their jobs when they return.

These exchanges directly foster the development of the skills and knowledge of the participant, while planning projects upon return to the home organization.  In this way, the employee and the employer both benefit from this experience.  All of our interns work in countries other than their own because cross-cultural exchanges are an integral part of this learning process.

Most internship organizations around the world charge fees to for internships abroad, but we don’t do that – ever.  Our interns are selected on merit, and not on their ability to pay program fees. We’re able to do this through support from individuals and organizations around the world that believe in our mission of pursuing progress through experiential learning.
